NCET
The National Certificate in Electronics Technology [NCET] pathway is the perfect way to get electronics into the classroom. These nationally recognised qualifications can be delivered in schools at a variety of levels and can open a world of possibilities for talented young people
NCET is very popular with students as it offers a unique blend of practical and theory. From basic circuit concepts to the actual creation of a new electronic product, these qualifications provide a fantastic hands-on introduction to electronics. And best of all, the qualifications are well supported by tertiary institutes and credits gained in the NCET can count towards NCEA.
To get the NCET programme started in your school, simply contact Ross Petersen, Training Manager - ETITO in Schools. We'll help you through the process of accreditation and provide you with a scheme of work and list of resources. We also run one-day workshops to get you up to speed and you'll become part of the nationwide network of teachers who enjoy our support.
There is as much or as little help as you need. Our NCET representatives will visit and help you with any programme or administration queries. And best of all, the support is ongoing - not just when you start delivering the programme.
